If I am having this much trouble why aren't the authors more aware of the

you really need a newer pc you know.....
it should work, just very slowly, work units have a time limit they need to
be done by, i think it's 2 weeks from when they are downloaded, unless you
leave the pc on 24/7 it might not be able to do them in time
(also note the boinc systemrecords the useage patterns and gives you more or
less work units, at least i think it does, patterns being how long your pc
is on for, how long seti is running etc, recorded as % of time, like: pc is
on 99.9% of the time, or 60%, see your account on website for details)
