Yes, your computer is slow by todays standards.

However, the actual problem here is that it does not have 'big' enough RAM chips inside it.

You can't copy the entire contents of the Encyclopaedia Britannica onto a pocket note book! Similarly, there is not enough RAM in your machine to hold Boinc-s@h so that the CPU could then run the program.

Either upgrade your machine with additional RAM. Or better yet, acquire a newer more capable machine.

A simple uninstall as described by f/f George is enough.


If you /really/ want to be sure, you could follow the MS Mantra of Reboot-Reformat-Reinstall... :(


For your machine, a better DC project would be to try the GIMPS (very low memory requirement and very long deadlines).
