Hi,
since I went to the Boinc stuff, I've been running on Boinc v. 4.13
with 4 machines. Never a prob, so I simply left it at that.
Last nite one of the machines came up with "message from server: no
work sent (your core client is out of date - please upgrade)" so it
now looks like upgrading my Boinc becomes a must.
I've d/l-ed the 4.45 version now but there is one question: can I just
run the installer where Boinc replaces the old stuff with the new,
meanwhile keeping settings and client data?

Louis

Make sure that BOINC is not running.

Uninstall V 4.13

Your current state will be preserved.
Install V 4.45

Run BOINC, which will pick up where V 4.13 left off.

Also take a look at:

Lots of info, and its expanding rapidly.
