Dear Friends,

I am using an Opteron 140, And I would like to know how can I enable hyperthreading on my system?

You already have something a lot better than the Intel Hyperthreading!

AMD have kept a better balance with their CPU designs and so do not need the additional complexity of multiple internal CPU threads to get good performance. Hence, there is no "HT" on there. (For AMD, you get multiple instructions for one thread executed in parallel instead :) )

Good luck,
Martin
