I've been getting work without a problem but I'm mildly surprised
about the credits. I Run a 3.0 GHz pc with an adsl connection using
'always on'. My average credit is normally considerably higher than
the 90.5 that it is now.
The Berkeley servers or an ethernet connection to them is/are choked.
Looks like some more juggling is required to clear the bottlenecks.
Some report connection problems, some don't. A general fix seems to be
to connect via a proxy. These have been listed over in the Boinc Q&A and
crunchers forums.
See:

for further details
(No connection problems from this part of the UK for my meagre trickle
of WUs.)
The credit is way, way behind reality at the moment until the various
backlogs get cleared.
I'm sure Berkeley are working on it (all two people of them)!
Good luck,
Martin
