Do you have a firewall that you have to give permissions to certain
programs to so they can access the net? If so you may try disabling it

There are 3 programs associated with BOINC. 4 if you count the screen
saver. They have permission. I could set them to ask which should
still work, but I see no point in that.

altogether for a couple of minutes, manually try connecting and see if
that works. Boinc uses several different programs to connect thru not
just Boinc.

Yup. Already tried that too. Shut ZA Pro down, using a proxy, and I
still get the same results. It connects, says it's started the
download, and then the download fails for some reason. Of course there
is the possibility these canned messages are not really telling me the
truth. A lot of computer messages really don't give the correct
information. OTOH it did download the headers for the WUs.

I'm getting close to giving up on that machine.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Okay then I will assume you have plenty of free harddrive space and

400 Gig SATA RAID striped with 137.5 Gig Free.

the settings under "your account" are set to not be forced to leave
too much free? There is a setting for harddrive space to leave empty.

I assume you are referring to the "your account" on the boinc pages?
It's unavailable currently. There is no account that I can find on
my computer. It is currently using zero disk space as it hasn't
downloaded anything.

The settings on my preferences in my account are default for all three
computers running seti. The computers have different IDs, but the
account is the same for all three.
