I've always had that set at 600 seconds - no more constant
tick, tick, tick of the hard disk as was the case with Classic.

But on the other hand if you forget to close the program or your
system crashes you have lost 10 minutes of work. Although 10 minutes
is not a long time. The one other thing you have to do is make sure
your power settings do not turn the drives off after just a few
minutes of inactivity.
