Does our statistics ours statistics in SETI CLassic migrate to BOINC?
Yes, approximately...
You start with zero Boinc credits (Cobblestones). However, your
s@h-classic credit is also listed separately.
If you really wish, you can calculate how many Cobblestones your
s@h-classic WUs are equivalent to.
If not, why do we must change for boinc if it functions very bad and often
is down?
Compared to s@h-classic, at the moment:
Boinc-s@h processes the WUs more efficiently with less redundancy;
There are optimised Boinc-s@h clients available that analyse the WUs
over twice as fast as the old s@h-classic client, for the same science
results;
Very soon, Boinc-s@h will have more clients to make new analysis for the
WU data.
Berkeley are still having hardware problems. When they are online, then
all good. When offline, you can keep your idle CPU time busy with other
Boinc projects.
Happy crunchin',
Martin
