...will ever support password-enabled screensavers.
Same thing on all my computers, WinXP and Win98:
Screensaver runs fine, dialogue box for password comes up, but mouse focus
can't get to the password field.
Complete lock-out. Have to power cycle.
The screensaver/password issue has been raised repeatedly on Boinc/SETI
forums for years now, to the same answer:
"Boinc currently doesn't support password-enabled screensavers. They should
work with the next version. Why do you want to use Boinc screensavers,
anyway? They take up too much resources. Just use a blank screensaver."
Why do they even bother to make screensavers for Boinc, if they are such
"worthless resource hogs" and can't be password-enabled. Why go through the
trouble of making a screensaver, only to say "Don't even bother with it"?
Whats the point?
I want to use the screensaver, password-enabled, even with the resource
hit.
Ugh. Don't mean to gripe, but damn if this isn't retarded...
Cheers,
