In WinXP Sp2 I've tried setting the Base Priority for SETI to Normal. The

to set it permanently to Normal or any other priority that I want to?

I just leave mine at default. I have a heap and a bunch of stuff
running. including an active PtP setup. The system is downloding
segments of two large files, uploading as well. It also has the normal
background *stuff* running such as the firewall, PeerGuardian, AV, and
other termite checkers. (This is addition to the router firewall which
has nothing to do with this computer) Processes show Seti is using
98% of the CPU resources and performance says the CPU is running at
100% utilization. CPU (3.2 Gig) temp is 54C and system temp is 36C.
(Looks like I need to give that tower case a bit more breathing room)
It takes about 3:45 per WU.
