Have a look at SIV, see

where it was very highly rated.
Try running SIV with the command line
options "-update=5 -monitor". (I have an
XP shortcut with a target of
C:\Programs\SIV\SIV.exe -update=5 -monitor
)
Then right-click on the VIEW button and
select from the various logging options.
I am sure that The Author of SIV would
appreciate some feedback on your use
of the program.
