on windows i came accross a problem with seti and dcplusplus
when dcplusplus (DC++) 'hashs' files, i assume crc checks or some such
seti
is set higher than the hashing thread/process, so the hashing never gets
done while seti is running, or takes an insane amount of time...

only noticed as my mate was moaning about it :)

Outlook Express has the same problem. Seems that dcplusplus and OE and
Boinc are all set to the lowest priority and therefore compete for who
will defer to the others.

do you mean outlook express and dc++ ?
i use outlook depress and boinc/seti with no problem

I have no idea what outlook depress is, but yes I mean Seti/Boinc and
Outlook Express.
