Your computer will be OK for running boinc, if it has more than 64 MB memory.
But there is no boinc client and seti app for Mac OS 9 ported in the moment. The only one available clients for this computer are Linux PPC.

being a pc guy(amd lover) i am picking up the aforementioned mac to play on and keep my den warm in the coming winter.if it won't run boinc...is seti classic still up?thanks in advance.

Seti Classic is still up. But the shutdown of classic is planed, and will coming anytime.
