I've got 14 wu's 'ready to report' but none have transferred to my
Transfers page.

My old 1.66 GHz pc from a few years ago used to process 1 wu per 8
hours.
This is computer is 3 GHz & out of the 14 wu's I just mentioned, the
best
CPU time is 07:06:08 hours, the worst is 14:08:36 hours.

Something has changed & it's not for the better.

This is getting way beyond stupid. Since I started running BOINC, I've
seen
wu Completion Time go from 3 hrs - 3 1/2 hours - 4 hours - 6 hours. Now
it's
10:58:52, almost eleven hours. If I get an abacus for christmas I'll be
able
to race my computer processing wu's.

Sounds like you are optimizing the wrong thing.

I didn't know about optimized applications until your post. Thanks, I'll get
back to you when I've run out of work & subsequently installed an optimized
version.
