I believe it is easier to cut ones losses and seek greener

Perhaps if someone had concentrated on the science then the
software would be less of a problem.

There _is_ a way of geting your email address and password changed.

Email davea@ssl.berkeley.edu (David Anderson) and ask him to alter your
email address and send you the password. (Explain that your email address in
their database no longer exists.) What _should_ then happen is that he will
send you a new password. You will now be able to log in, but the password
will have expired, so you can change it to something more memorable. It
worked for me (the second time of asking).

Failing that you can of course always start afresh with a new username.
That's what I was forced to do a few years ago when I realised that I had
mistyped my email address when I originally set up the account, and couldn't
remember the password either!

SETI BOINC is much more interesting than SETI classic, and you can join
other projects as well, such as CPDN, Einstein, Predictor, ...

You should also be aware of the SETI BOINC forums - although you will need
to know your username and password before you can post to them. There's a
link to the forums here: http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/ - although it's
down for routine maintenance at this time.
