notice it says I'm missing an account key. I've got a copy of the
log/password & email address I always used with seti classic. now
there's a new alphanumeric hash they call an account key. Apparently
they're not happy with the L/P that worked with "classic" but if my
stats are to be transferred to my group, I need to use my old email
address.

These people aren't thinking how to facilitate people using boinc.

If I can't get this resolved, I'll either do a different kind of
distributed time donation or I'll save my electricity & component wear
& say the hell with it.

Ok... I've been leaving my computer on 24/7/365 since 2000 working
with SETI & letting it up & download as it pleases. I decide to see
how my stats & team average are doing seeing as I was in the 95th
percentile the last time I looked back in January or so.

I see that the account was stopped March 15 and my name doesn't even
show in the team listings anymore. I go to seti@home & see
everything's boinc but did seti send me a notice? no.

Idiots. If they wanted me to go boinc they should have emailed me,
they have my email address....

So I follow the links, try to install boinc & use the login/password
for my account & boinc says it doesn't exist. Setispy has been keeping
track of my account & I've got over 3,000 wu's since March 15 so my
account must still be good but boinc doesn't know that.

It tells me to use my account key if I haven't set up a password so I
use that for the password & I see some internet communication going on
& then I get a notice
"Failed to attach to project".
and I have retried to "attach to project" 7-8 times with the same
result.

Someone running this seti/boinc extravaganza has no conception of what
it is like to communicate with the volunteers helping out. I've run up
a helluva electric bill since 2000 helping out and they don't even
have the courtesy to contact me & tell me there's been a major change.

I just found this group thanks to a google search otherwise I would
have no idea & I'd truly be done volunteering my CPU to anyone.

So where I'm at is seti isn't helping me figure this out, I can't get
boinc to register me, nothing in the boinc program tells me what to do
in an instance like this and I'm about to get a dual FX57 computer
running online and whatever good I could have done for seti will be a
thing of the past.

This is inconsiderate and agrivating of SETI.
