Error code 106 means:"A failure to read/write from the Disk Drive, or
in the case of network transmissions, a failure to send and receive
data.
A failure to send and receive data to and from a Project Server
generally means that during the transmission to or from the Project
Server, or a router along the way has reset the TCP connection between
the BOINC Client Software and the Project Server. This can happen for
a number of different reasons, such as the Project Server being
overloaded, or packets being lost in route. "
notice it says I'm missing an account key. I've got a copy of the
log/password & email address I always used with seti classic. now
there's a new alphanumeric hash they call an account key. Apparently
they're not happy with the L/P that worked with "classic" but if my
stats are to be transferred to my group, I need to use my old email
address.
These people aren't thinking how to facilitate people using boinc.
If I can't get this resolved, I'll either do a different kind of
distributed time donation or I'll save my electricity & component wear
& say the hell with it.

So where I'm at is seti isn't helping me figure this out, I can't get
boinc to register me, nothing in the boinc program tells me what to do
in an instance like this and I'm about to get a dual FX57 computer
running online and whatever good I could have done for seti will be a
thing of the past.
This is inconsiderate and agrivating of SETI.
MM
I think you should leave the ultimatums for the people that actually
run something, we few that try to help are just users like yourself
and frankly could care less about your threats!
As in run what, Seti? I would expect that some who "run" seti would
frequent discussion groups such as this. If not, then they truly don't
have an interest in those helping out the program by listening to
where the bottlenecks in the vested populace are being demonstrated.
And as to "we few that try to help are just users like yourself
and frankly could care less about your threats!"
Son, get a dictionary & read the definition of threat. I made a
statement of what I will do if this does not get resolved. That is not
a threat, it is a statement of fact. Whether you have an interest in
that or not is of no concern to me.
And I still say they should have emailed me and every registered user
to notify them of the change. Not to do so is effete.
