But, for some reason this failed, and since this was an
"attach"-attempt it detached you again.


Now, one reason for failed connection is a firewall.

But, seeing you tried to "attach" on Wednesday evening, please
remember SETI@Home/BOINC is having an outage each Wednesday for
backup-purposes and software/hardware-reconfigurations. So, likely you
tried to "attach" immediately after this outage was over, during the
recovery-period there server gets hammered with requests and some of
these requests gets dropped.

If you've waited a couple hours till things had stabilized after the
outage, chances are you would not have any problems.
Well, there was also some reports on Thursday that Cogent, the isp
SETI@Home is using, was having some connection-problems...


As for email, this will likely be sent next week, and shutdown of
"classic" is 15.12.2005.

As for your "classic"-wu-score showing up as 15.03.2005 on the
SETI@Home/BOINC-side, this will be updated after "classic" has shut
down.

Also note, the "classic"-wu-score is not converted to Cobblestones,
everyone must start at zero credits under SETI@Home/BOINC, but the
"classic"-score shows-up as extra information.

Oh, and under BOINC, only users that has got any credit will show-up
under stats.
