This is all still "conjecture" and "best guess".
What has happened just now is that the science databases merging is more
of a problem than Berkeley first imagined. A quirk of SQL/Informix means
that they must do more work for merging the seti-classic and boinc-seti
science databases into one...
Dates, scenarios and what really will happen are all subject to change!
What is certain is that Boinc-seti is the new system that is taking over
all new work.
You can hang on to seti-classic and "take your chances". However, as
already said, with the present results getting merged, you take your
chances as to whether anything is usefully done with any further
seti-classic results returned.
My personal advice is to move to Boinc-seti (or whatever DC project)
sooner rather than later to avoid possibly wasted effort.
