Hi All
I have recently been forced over to boinc like a lot of other people.
With Classic I had it set up to only run as a screensaver. To save time
showing graphics - I had the screen set to go blank.
Then it finished a work unit it would then request a internet connection.
just stick with it, once you figure out how the new system works it won't
change for years
Could somebody please please please tell me how to set up boinc to do
this.
i'm at work, i'm sure others can dig up good info for you
The boinc software is very confusing and I have no idea how to do this and
do
not know what it is actually doing.
I am a software engineer and certainly no novice when it comes to
software.
errrrrr ... !
anyway....
Reading this newsgroup suggests that a lot of people are having these
probems.
I am about to give up and uninstall it which seems a pity after 5 years.
I have always been prepared to donate my pc's time when not in use but
will not allocate resources during the normal operation.
I donote cpu time even when my pc *is* in use, do i notice it? nope, nor
should I
