By the way I am in the ClimatePrediction group, not SETI. I mentioned
SetiDriver from my Seti @home days.

Regarding making the change in my Account (on the website): I have BOINC
running on several machines now. I use the same account for all of them.
Only one is Hyperthread capable. I have not set up the different computers
on the website ... should that have been done ? Does your advice still stand
?

I have it (boinc_5.2.13_windows_intelx86.exe) running on my P4-3.06GHZ
desktop and the Message tab shows that it sees 2 CPU's.
However Windows Task Manager / Processes, shows that BOINC is using 49%
of
CPU power and System Idle Process is using 49% of CPU power.

Do I need some 3rd party software (the equivalent of Seti Driver) to
make
BOINC run as 2 processes and use virtually all the resources when
nothing
else is happening?

Thanks !

You should see two setiathome running in task manager plus boinc and
boinc manager and 2 windows in performance cpu usage, both at 100%.
If you don't have two windows in performance, running seti or not, HT
is not turned on. The two setiathome should be 50% + 50% and not
boinc. You don't need additional software.
Check your seti preferences(user account) to see if 2 cpu's are used.
