contributers such as you and I.  It is quite possible this HT article was

Yes, there is a bias against HT in there that Intel certainly wouldn't write. However, it is accurate enough to be fair.

Exactly, it works well and as designed for certain specific applications which is why it was designed in in the first place. HT works remarkably well for certain specific benchmarks.

HT certainly offers more advantage than disadvantage, hence why it is there. However, there are other design considerations surrounding how, why, and its usefulness.
