Look again at what they are doing and then comment again...

Also note, my Boinc cache is set to 0.5 days. Not run dry here yet.

Yes that is my opinion. And with the cache set at 0.5 my machines would run dry in a few hours. I kindly ask you to read before you give a bitchy reply. I wrote at the moment. Want to dispute that? I didn't write it as a general remark over the BOINC system. And the eventual criticism from me would be the lack of redundancy in the system, not the system itself.
Now, with the cache set at 10 days, I can do with a very long outage. On the other hand there is always a risk that a WU will pass it's best-before-date, but that's better than being out of work.
