Not my webpage, but the text was taken directly as possible.

The DSN, from my understanding [of the text] has all the source data.
The text seems to indicate that it will be very different from SETI in real world operation, but using a lot of the SETI client source code and methods.

Private BOINC projects should be welcome -- not all projects should originate from government funded labs.
This project seems to be mixed GOV-PRIVATE.

BOINC : Deep Space Network @ Home, proposal

In order for programming work to start and for project contracts to be negotiated, please donate.

Where will you get your source data?

What will you be doing that is different to what s@h is already doing?

From the lack of a few crucial details on your web page: is this a spoof?

Martin

Agreed, the more Boinc projects the better, provided that they are /useful/.

Sorry, but the (sparse) information there looks to be nothing more than just opportunistic "get a few dollars via paypal"...

My consultative assessment of that page is that it is not a realistic proposal.

That "The text seems to indicate" is a fair description of a scam. You can dream for yourself whatever you want the project to be!

Martin
