When I think "Seti Classic," what I really remember is SETI Driver, because
setiathome-x.xx.i386-winnt-cmdline.exe was invisible to me. It was like a
disembodied brain without SETI Driver.
When I finished my first Work Unit, I realized SETI@Home seemed tedious and
hopeless. Fortunately, I found this newsgroup, and then you guys turned me
on to SETI Driver. I also tried a couple of other add-ons, but I finally
realized I only needed SETI Driver for pursuing my interest, which was to
learn how to tweek my computer for best efficiency. It's an education.
Conversely, I never got into computer games :) Money is better spent on L2
cache than video memory.
Best luck and Thanks.
