I seem to be having problems with starting BOINC when I startup my computer (not that I turn it off very often) since I installed Norton 6. I have to stop the automatic start and do a manual one...
Anyone got a cure for this?

Get rid of Norton!

Better yet, get rid of Windows so that you don't need anything like Norton in the first place! (There are very good alternatives, see the sig ;-) )

The Boinc startup problems are well known. Best is to use the latest version of the Boinc manager where there's been quite a few fixes for the Windows nightmares. Secondly, if you're still having problems, try one of the startup utilities that delays the start of whatever programs you specify.

Full kudos to the Boinc devs for working around most of the Windows 'gotchas'!

Good luck,
