f/fgeorge:
The whole pont I was trying to make, YOU MISSED!!! I was making the
point that LOTS of people have ideas, some good some not so good.
Scientists have their time already scheduled, for them to stop what
they are doing and to listen to us not currently in their sphere is
NOT going to be an easy job, NOR SHOULD IT BE!
I used your name as one that has tried for a very long time to get the
attention of NASA to do what you consider to be important research,
they are not interested at this point in time to give up what they are
already doing and move over to "your" project.
They would see any kind of personal intrusion into their science sphere
like a nano-fly buzzing around their heads, the idea's size is minute
and will be ignored.
The person I was replying to thinks "they have a better idea" and NASA
should stop what they are doing and listen to it. I was explaining why
that will not happen.
The only way to get their attention is by combining together and
setting up a website.
NASA will soon be in competition from smaller, more agile space
companies. The more ambitious could extract necessary materials from
asteroids to further exploration and save on launch costs.
Why is it a forgone conclusion this behemoth will land humans on Mars?
