But all these successes are just a beginning. As you are aware, SETI@home

new searches are on the horizon for SETI@home. We are releasing a new

Yay, now we're not only going to pay for Berkeley research by donating
computertime, paying the electricity bill and transfer costs, now we also get
the opportunity to supply hard cash!
However, if they cannot convince Berkeley that the research is so serious and
important that it deserves some of the research funds available to Berkeley,
it's my opinion the SETI project should be closed.
Depending on how important the project is to YOU, you have the choice of
whether to:
donate;
lobby your politicians/representatives;
do nothing.
This is all your own choice and your importance.
There are various articles about how certain key (two?) senators have
very effectively vetoed funding for all SETI projects.
Keep searchin',

Martin, I know you're the everlasting (and in my eyes fanatic) defender of SETI,
BOINC and Berkeley. The lack of tolerance you show other participants, who might
not share your opinion, is regrettable. You have to learn to respect that everyone
has the right to their own opinions instead of posting content that directly or
indirectly criticize other participants for not sharing your enthusiasm and
dedication. Of course we make our own choices, withou you having to point out any
alternatives!
