You're not the only one.  I had a similar issue last year.  I solved it
by downgrading to an earlier client (4.19) -- I can live without all
those extra "features."

i am using an optimized seti client so i don't want to have an
original boinc client because of granted credits (not just mine but
the others may have smaller amount of credits)
