I've had several WU's lately with extraordinarily long crunch times.
1 was 144 Hours and only at 28% done, the other was at 53 hours and 13% done
I aborted both. I know the new version takes longer than before due to more
processing per WU but if the ratio held the 144 hr WU would have completed
at over 500 hours, and this was on a dual core P4 Extreme edition cpu. The
other one (the 53/13% job) was on a 1Ghz dual PIII system
I'm also seeing a lot of "Computation Error" WU's and other errors about
paths in BOINC. Before i went to this latest version i didnt have any of
that crap happening - ever.
Anyone else seen stuff like this?
Thanks
Eric

I have had some go as long as 144 hours and still only be at 0.823%! I
too aborted them and will let others crunch them. This is Boinc, if
you don't crunch them you won't get credit for them, that is all.
Someone else WILL try and crunch them too, up to a max of 10 people, I
think, and then it is flagged as non-crunchable and Berkeley puts
their own computers to work on it.
