Hello !

I am running the current version of BOINC Manager (which is 5.4.11) .

I also have BoincLogX v1.51 and SETI at home-MapView v6.54 installed.

When running the BOINC SETI at Home program, I have a little problem
interpreting the numbers given / listed.

This problem especially regards the values for the gaussian numbers given. I
receive both positive and negative numbers in my results.

My guess is that the Spike values should be negative all the time. For
example BoincLogX currently shows the value for Spike as
power: 22.83062, score: -0.24354.

Likewise, for Pulse, power: 1.750892, period 0.809369, score: 0.936413. I
have not seen any result having a pulse score above 1.0 yet,
which is a little disappointing.

And finally, for Gaussian: power 2.306740, fit 1.337945, score 2.414156
(perhaps not too bad).

I also noticed that in the early stage of my current job, the process was
halted for a while and a result was probably delivered to the server.
Checking up on that, there was according to the web page
http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/result.php?resultid=368770869 the number of
results detected
exceeding the storage space allocated (which I have seen before at least
once).

I took note of the numbers at that time, but unfortunately did not store
them. If not updated, the result that was delivered may have been even
better than
those mentioned above.

Since I do get negative numbers in the results for the gaussians, I would
like to know about how to interpret the numbers given.

Thank you very much !
