How to have a good ROI on the search for extraterrestrial life.



Dear members of our ROISETI club, you the leaders of our industries,
here we will present to you a plan to get some ROI on SETI.

With a modest investment today, your results 12 years from now will be
boosted by 3 digit figures.

Here is the plan.

The idea is to, in case nothing materialises in SETI, to create
an artificial threat.
This will then lead to the arming of every citizen in the world,
construction of a space fleet, many completely new kind of weapons,
and a large budget allocated by Congress to finance all this.


1) We prepare, in all secrecy, a probe with a small radio transmitter,
   and launch it today.
   This probe will leave the solar system in about 10 years.

2) It will start sending exactly 12 years from now and encrypted message
   that will make people think it is a beacon for a big alien fleet on its way
   to conquer earth.

3)
  If science at that time cannot decrypt or comes to the wrong conclusion,
  the real decryption and message will be leaked by the GOP.

We invest a bit in SETI in the coming 10 years, and do this internationally,
so we look nice and other countries will also be able to pick up the signal.

When the day comes, we have the needed weapons on the shelves.
