GuthBall, after reading your disjointed and nonsensical drivel for

Don't dispair yet. Those two are a too small sample to judge earth upon.

Fortunately

But honestly I have some doubts also. :(

SETI programs idea is to find intelligence. I think that if we try to
find intelligence we first study earth. SETI is
somehow positive idea, perhaps on earth there dosn't exist
intelligence but we have not to be despaired there is world in huge
dimensions outside our planet so we have possibility that intelligence
exists somewhere in the universe.
Many people in universities and business world and politics don't see
intelligence anywhere. So they determine that it is impossible that
there could be any kind of intelligent life beyond their world.
As a professional astronomer with jackpots controlling telescopes
worth tens of millions of dollars I have utmost rare priviledge to
know that we have hope in our work . To find intelligent life in
universe is not impossible but it is possible as observational fact. I
keep this observation a great hope for mankind . Although on earth
there couuld not be intelligent life it is not totally nonexistent in
universe as many desparetaly believe . I think this a great
breakthrough in scientific work .http://users.utu.fi/pertkoiv/

If ihe cosmic intelligence were to be based or measured upon what
little Earth has to offer, then perhaps God or whatever ET intelligent
design really screwed up, but good.
