When I first started running Seti 10 years ago in June,
it was on a Cyrex 50. Not exactly a 486, but close. In 1996 I
upgraded from my 386 to help run Doom better.

I've actually been wondering where my installs for Doom are. I
found Wolfenstein 3D and it runs under Win2K. I just don't have
any sound. Ahhh, I miss those simple games. Sometimes you get
overwhelmed by all the fancy graphics only to realize the game
itself sucks. Back then, the graphics sucked, so the game had
to be really good.

Mine came as shareware on a floppy. I can't seem to find it. I
seem to remember getting it to work in a 9x command pronpt once,
but I don't remember how. I should get one of the old computers
in the garage and set it up just for that. Getting the sound to
work right has always been a struggle. Everyone told me to try
Descent, but I never liked it.
