BTW, the 64bit version 6.6.23, I know it's not considered a
stable release, but if you click "show graphics", on my XP64
machine it causes it to instantly reboot.
I don't think "show graphics" and CUDA are compatible.
If you think about it, what's the point? Showing the graphics
just takes away computing power from the CUDA app. The whole
point of this endeavor is to crunch as much work as fast as
possible.

yes, I know. It was just a minor slap in the face. That old graphic
is tired, anyway. And making it wave around wasn't exactly an
improvement, either. It kind of looks like a convention booth with a bad
hangover. I just wanted to see what CUDA was "up to". The reason this came
up is that I have gotten some CUDA units that take extrordinarily long
to process. One had processed less than 2% after 2 hours. They seem to
speed up as they move along. That one took over six hours. I guess I would
like some sort of graphical interface that gives a limited "view inside". I don't
know if anyone remembers, but I was sort of thinking of the lights on
an IBM/360. You could tell if a program was "stuck" in a short loop.
