I currently have a system that is not requesting tasks and it is

Nothing. And it won't request tasks.

When you do an update, do you get "Not reporting
or requesting tasks" in the messages, or something else?
"Sending scheduler request: Requested by user. Requesting 0 seconds
of work, reporting 0 completed tasks"
Although I should mention that just now it finally started requesting
again, but now I get on occasion:
"No work sent"
"(won't finish in time) BOINC runs 95.1% of time, computation
enabled 57.0% of that."
That's likely becuase I had computations disabled as there wasn't
anything to compute anyway!!!! This machine hasn't been able to
get work for several days. I had some tasks still but then ran
out due to the increasingly longer recovery from Tuesday's.
I try to keep a few hundred tasks in the queue so I can weather
the increasingly numerous server downtimes.
But I am getting SOME tasks.
I'm dedicated to Seti. I've been here since it went online and
I've never done any other project. If Seti@Home is finally shut
down, then I'll consider something else.

Glad you're finally getting some work. I think I have finally gotten enough to last through the
"increasingly long outages". I already figured out that some of my theories about Boinc are wrong. I
had to up my #days to 5. I now seem to be getting the same amount of work I previously did with 2. I
suspect if the servers were available more hours per week there wouldn't be such a problem with
bandwidth.
