Well, once again, I've got it wrong. The #1 and #2 systems still have
jobs waiting to upload and won't fetch new work. The #3 system finished
its 2 jobs and managed to download 3 more, two of which are running and
one is finished and trying to upload. I do not get it.

I don't either. I can't get my machines to upload or download.

Server status doesn't show much.

Hmmm. Well, with the servers supposedly running, the "Results ready to send" containing a large
positive number, and the "Current result creation rate" being, say, 10 or more per second, one is
left with the question, "Why can't I get any work?" Bandwidth issues don't explain it. Link usage
information is, unfortunately, not available.

I have found the most telling number to be the "Result turnaround time (last hour average)". When
the system has been humming for a while, ie. between Wednesdays and Thursdays, this number gets down
to around 50-55. When uploads start hanging and work becomes unavailable, as has been the case since
yesterday (Friday) night, it starts creeping up. This morning it was in the 80's, now it is in the
90's. Last week, it got into, I think, the 130's before it started down.

As for my "experiment", the #1 system, the faster system with the bloated queue, was not able to get
any work from around a week ago Friday or Saturday until last Thursday. It started clearing uploads
late Tuesday or early Wednesday, and when there were about four left, it started fetching work early
Thursday.

The #2 system, a Pentium 4, with a small queue, ran out of work last weekend, and was not able to
upload or get any more until early Wednesday.

The #3 system, a dual core I started on Monday, downloaded work immediately, ran out during the
Tuesday outage, and uploaded its two jobs and continued working Tuesday night.

The only thing I can draw from this is that more than a small number of pending uploads, or possibly
any at all (as well as other yet undetermined causes) seem to preclude any downloads.

Has anyone looked at the source, to try and figure out what it's doing or why?
