BOINC won't fetch work (as has been explained here several times during
the upload troubles) if you have more tasks waiting to upload than twice
the number of CPU cores available. 5 > 2 * 2, so you're caught.
Well that's a fine "how do you do!"
Unless I am connected 100% of the time and therefore able to upload
work as soon as it completes - assuming of course that the upload
servers are working - I will very rarely be below that number.
My quad/cuda system right now has nearly 70 work units waiting to
upload. My last connect for that machine was only 21 hours ago.
This machine goes through work units like they're going out of
style - when it can get them.

I check my quad system when I can to see if any more have uploaded and I
have to do a manual project update to get them , um... registered?
verified? acknowledged? you know what I mean.
I need to play around with some settings to get it to automatically
update a
*little* more often and keep a few days worth of work (when
available).
