Oh... I didn't think I'd had seti in my newsgroup lists but I actually do...

I didn't include poor seti... so I will select it too.. and post this one more time....

There ya go SETI ! ;) =D

I'll add a little bit more text to give this reposting a little bit extra:

This is a nice example of how computer-related (finding/analysis) skills/discoveries/techniques can be applied to other fields.

Like possibly the HUNT FOR ET ! ;) =D

(Instead of a dirty little intel secret !? LOL ;) =D)

Also using the boot logo screen to overflow width, height... with unsigned logo loading module vuln... deliciously entertaining ! LOL.

The question that remains is: WHAT ABOUT AMD systems ?! ;)

Could be nice publicity for AMD if there systems appear not to be vunerable... though they say in theory they should ;)

Interesting, scary and sloppy vuln by/from Intel... (allowing to re-map over
"secure memory" tut tut tut ;))

Though even more interesting is probably the way the author of this
discovery found it.

Watch his youtube video on the topic of "dynamic binary execution
visualization" or something like.

For interesting how arbitrary binary data is visualized independant of
encoding/instruction sets, formats, etc.

Just based on statistics, analyses, formulas, and the power of the human
visual cortex.

I can imagine deep learning networks to hook into this... for even more
powerfull recognition of binary stuff.

I am going to include some other newsgroups which I consider interesting for
his visualization techniques.

Because I wonder if this author actually realizes that his visualization
technique could also be used for finding intelligent alien signals.

I downloaded his software/demo... didn't try it yet... running software
written by a hacker feel a bit uneasy... maybe source code is included in
the zip.. maybe not...

I'd feel more comfortable with sources... and building it myself... it's a
demo.... so don't know how far it will go...

Anyway... for astronomers... and alien hunters I would highly recommend
looking into this... and even trying out his visualization tool see if it
pops up something.

Would be ultra cool if this visualization technique leads to aliens being
found ! ;)

I'll also include math newsgroup.. cause it probably uses some kind of
formulas for the visualization or so...

Or it might give them some ideas/inspire them to try it and write their own
software which does something similar to radio signals....

With this current software the cool thing is that any binary file can be
stuffed into it...

So there might be a big surprise for anybody stuffing collected outer space
signals into this software...

If anybody tried it yet.. let me know.

If anybody knows where to find a database/files of outspace radio signals or
something like that... ready to be analyzed... let me know...

The raw-er the file... the better... try not to pullute it with human data
;)

Just outer space data =D
