Report Summary
|
"... two twelve year old youngsters, walking to school... were delayed
for nearly two hours by an object, eight feet in diameter, which dove at
them and finally led them to seek shelter under a bridge abutment. The boys...
were walking along Redcoat Road on the edge of Norwalk, Connecticut, when
they spotted the object in the sky. It made a sound like the humming of
bees, was dull metallic in color, saucer-shaped, and had an antenna topped
by a red light on its upper surface... 'When we hid behind trees, it floated
above the trees to spot us. When we hid behind rocks it still spotted us.'
When they finally crawled under the bridge, the object came down to within
an estimated seven feet of the ground, apparently trying to locate them.
It stayed there for about five minutes, then took off. They heard a sound
after it left, the boys said, and assumed that it had dropped into a nearby
water tank or the nearby lake."[footnote 1] "... their attention was arrested by sunlight reflecting off a distant object, to the west and behind them. The object zoomed down in a flas, made a pass over them from west to east, turned and made a second pass from east to west, and turned yet again to make its third pass from west to east... "A car with NY plates and two men in it slowed down... but when they apparently spotted the object, they accelerated the car and left the area in a hurry... "... sound ... resembled humming bees, but it was of a lower frequency... only when the object was close - they guessed within 15 feet.... When it hovered, its edge pointed toward the ground and it had a fluttering motion. They did not see the underside at any time... Red and white lights placed around the edge... appeared to rotate counter-clockwise. The light on top appeared to be about four inches in diameter, and the object itself about eight feet in diameter and 4.5 feet high... "[When they hid under the abutment] the disk then came down to 7 feet.. .and stayed in that position for about 5 mins, rocking or fluttering slightly, then it took off in a burst of speed."[footnote 2] |
