Report Summary
|
"... Both girls, fourteen, were looking out the window of the room, which
was located on the second floor. About 200 yds away, in a field, they spotted
a brilliantly lit egg-shaped object which appeared to be about the size
of a compact car... they believed it to be near the ground ... During the
time the object was under observation, it changed color - from a blinding
white to beige, to pink, to a deep red-orange - about ten times. No noise
of any kind was heard... "Shortly, the girls heard a sound like a lawnmower starting up, apparently emanating from the barn complex. Immediately following the noise, two small figures emerged quickly from the barn; they next went and stood by the mailbox near the road. The girls could not get a clear view of the figures because clouds repeatedly blocked the light from the moon. But the figures seemed to be less than four feet tall... one... had an abnormally large head. "For about two minutes, the figures stayed by the mailbox, then darted quickly across the road into the shadow of a large tree. The two had been near the tree for a few moments when car headlights appeared... they then were joined by a third figure of about the same size, whereupon the three ran back past the barn and out of sight while the car passed... "The object in the field had doused its light while the car was in the vicinity. The light was seen once again, but the object then moved away, for it became dimmer and dimmer. The girls told Mrs. Luke of the incident when she returned from shoppig, but by the time she had a chance to get a look, the object was very dim and could barely be seen... "Mrs. Pinozza, who lived across the road... has watched the craft for only a few moments, and, frightened, had gone back into her house... "M. Morehead and Bruce Mareku... observed the object from Winsted, within forty minutes of the Luke farm sighting, when it apparently was in the area of the Luke farm. They watched it for five minutes before it completely disappeared from sight."[footnote 1] |

A fascinating account of spying on occupants who seem to have been examining unpopulated areas of a farm. |
