(Address) amerdj286 (City) Branford (State) CT (Zip) 06405 (DateTime) late 1960's 11:00 am (Location) Branford/East haven, CT. line over lake Saltenstall (Description) We were driving west on US route#1. I glanced to the right and saw a VERY large eliptical,bright white object hover across the sky. My grandmother saw it also.She asked me if I saw that! I was speachless and both confirmed what the other had seen. The object was the size of 10-12 football fields, four or 5 stories high.seemed to be about 1/2 mile away and moved very rapidly across the sky. The color was a "glowing bright white" almost like a neon light, however this was durring a clear day. I suggested we notify the police or airport, but my Grandmother told me not to mention it because we would be considered "looney". Every couple of years we would talk about what we saw and that it was unexplained, but very real!! I have told some people about the sighting and my grandmother has confirmed, however people are still skeptical about the story. I would take a lie detector test to confirm what I am saying is true! |

July 18, 1985, 7:15 PM, New Haven, CT; Sandra Trent "[A friend and I were] at a field getting ready to go jogging. I heard a loud noise, and looked up and saw a large silver rocket shaped object with what appeared to be either bright lights or flames inside of the object. | February 13, 1997, 2:17 AM, "Mike", Shelton, CT "I was on my way home from Wal-Mart where I work. My car ran out of gas on route 108 near Constitution. I suddenly saw a bright light come over the pine trees and then a big disk type object hovered over me. It was there for a few minutes but I could not move for some reason. July 6, 1997, 6:00 PM, Demetrius Clarence, Hartford, CT "We were just sitting in the park. One of my friends said "Look!" We all looked and we [said] "that plane's gonna crash" - but it didn't. It looked like an airplane. At first we thought it was a plane falling from the sky... when a plane falls from the sky it has smoke. The smoke from this object was different. It was [as if] the object [were] going down, but it wasn't. I mean, it was moving, but not really moving. I can't really explain it, but ... the object was moving, and at the same time it was disappearing slowly. It looked as if it [were] coming down like a plane would if it were to crash, but it didn't; it came down to a certain point in the sky and then it disappeared." Nocturnal Light

October 11, 1997, 12:15 AM, M.J.B. Berlin, CT I was driving home from my girl friend's house, and it was a perfectly clear night. I saw a blue dot on the horizon, suddenly it was no more than 100 yards in front of my car. I turned my stereo off and opened my windows and moon roof to listen for an engine, but I heard absolutely nothing. The hazy blue circle suddenly moved to my right at what seemed to be at least the speed of sound, but it made no noise. It moved so fast, I had a tough time watching it. It then slowed down and began to move up and down like the image of a heart beat on a machine in a hospital. I took a right at the end of the road to follow it, just then it disappeared into the stars. I drove a little farther and got out of my car to try to look for the object, but I had no luck. After I sped home and ran inside and told everyone. All night I had this strange new feeling that someone or something was watching me, even as I write this, the day after the incident. My sighting changed my life, no matter what others say, if they believe me or not, nothing can ever convince me that we are alone here."
