The Photo Gallery

The best photos are those which are the most abstract. Why? Because artistic stylization is most difficult when the medium is inflexible - and there is nothing more inflexible than reality.

These are a selection of my extensive photo library. Their only meaning is their beauty, but it is not the beauty of exotic landscapes, from which anyone can extract beauty. It is the beauty of small secret places, of intimate patterns of color and light and shadow.

Enjoy these...

  • Vertical format images

  • Pictures from my recent trip to software development tool vendor Borland in Scotts Valley, CA, USA, including images from the plane of abstract landforms, the contemporary / oriental elegance of the Borland HQ, and scenes from the surrounding countryside.
