Velasco

Velasco

4/6/02

Though not drawn from any specific scene in my novel Source, this image of one of the main characters is a helpful visualization. This Poser figure uses Catharina Przezak's Tomy skin map, and except for a small mouth defect repair, is unretouched.

Velasco is one of those freed in Lan's impulsive attack on a labor camp caravan, and quickly becomes an important member of the new colony in the abandoned powerplant / manufacturing complex on the coast. He came from a rural town near the southern sea and likes boats and fishing. He is the first to suggest that Lan must release control over the interactions between the producers in the new town, and is later nearly killed in an encounter with a secret operation at sea.
