Developed from the landscape of At The Edge 2, the result of material, elevation, and vertical exaggeration changes is a completely different scene. This image is a member of a class of images also represented by Primeval Beach and some pencil images, which juxtapose hard crystals with landscapes.
The upper image was post processed in Photoshop with greyscale, contrast, edge enhancement, tune color balance. A section of the original image was inserted to enhance the gem on the rock. The result is a very pencil / ink like look. But the bottom image - the original, conveys a very different sensation.
