In addition to the detailed examples of surface and extended luminosity, there
are a variety of interesting minor luminous structures.

These are two views of a photo which is
Blue Book case #11159 (Mooresville, NC), 11/16/66[footnote
1]. There are no details of the case available in my immediate references.
However, note the extremely interesting linear features in the luminosity.
It is difficult to account for these features. They do, however, have some
resemblance to phenomena in cloud chambers, where energetic particles leave
tracks in moisture saturated air. Also possibly relevant is the following
note from a Project Blue Book document unrelated to the case:
"As shown by Macky[footnote 2]
droplets of water suspended in an electrical field sufficiently intense
to induce breakdown will display sparking over phenomena and will become
deformed. Under very strong fields, the droplets become drawn out into filaments
and disrupt with attendant electrical discharges along their surfaces or
through them."[footnote 3]
These linear phenomena are on one side of the object. On the other are some
clusters of glowing particles.
There is some hint of an internal object, conic in shape. If so, the lower
lobe of the luminosity may be a structure similar to the luminous ventral
cone seen in the 1967 Fargo
photo, trailing away from the direction of motion. |

These two photos were taken by television
newsman Bob Campbell in Sherman, TX on 8/2/65 (less than 24 hours before
the Tulsa photo)
at 3AM, using a 4x5 Speed Graphic loaded with Tri-X film.[footnote
4]
The first photo shows a brightly luminous extension from the object center,
surrounded by a glowing halo. The object itself has a variety of regularly
spaced bumps or luminous areas. The extension appears to come from one of
three bright bands on the cylindrical objects.
The second photo shows the same object apparently ejecting some sort of
luminous material which is subject to gravity.
See the report for more details. |

This photo shows a luminous object with
a filamentary glow being emitted from the bottom. The luminosity appears
to be pointing downward at an angle, which may be opposite the direction
of travel.[footnote 5]
The object had risen from a snow-covered field in the town of Fargo, ND,
2/25/67
The brightness of the object can be inferred from the presence of the Milky
way in the photograph. |
