The attempts to deploy UFOCatalog have shown me that a Java application is impractical (at least at this time) as a means for making UFO data available over the Internet.

However, I am currently working on a new approach which will involve a page producer on a web server, so that users of the UFOCatalog database will not need to perform any download. Hopefully this will be in place sometime before the summer.

My gratitude is extended to all of those who participated in this test.
