From: Ken MacGrayDate: Sun, 12 Jan 97 18:04:35 -0500 Subject: Yet More On The March (From a.c.a51... -Ken) From: norioa51s4@aol.com (NorioA51S4) Newsgroups: alt.conspiracy.area51 Subject: Re: AREA 51..want to visit? Date: 12 Jan 1997 20:47:00 GMT Once again, some clarifications concerning the 1000-Man March in 1998 need to be made in view of the apparent "paranoid" consternation that has been generated in this newsgroup. The event, which is scheduled to take place on June 6, 1998, should rather be re-named A THOUSAND-MAN MARCH AT AREA 51 IN 1998, rather than INTO AREA 51, for obvious reasons!! 1) the event is open to anyone 2) a thousand people are NOT going to march into the Groom Lake facility. 3) there will be no bloodshed; no cause for alarm!! 4) all you have to do is just SHOW UP, it's as simple as that; and practically the whole world knows by now where the restricted boundary line is on Groom Lake Road; that will be the site of the event 5) the event will not be an "anti-government", rabble-rousing rally 6) the news media will be there 7) there will be keynote speakers throughout the day; a podium and microphones will be set up 8) the event will be notified well in advance to Nellis AFB, Lincoln County Sheriff Dept. and Nevada Highway Patrol (they are most likely aware of the proposed event but since the event is still 17 months from now, nothing is been planned to prepare for it) 9) if the "authorities" actually anticipate a fairly large crowd (two hundred? three hundred?" or more?) and actually confirm the presence of several news media at the event (they will probably know a few days before the event), then they will take certain precautions that could affect certain operations at the Groom facility. 10) again, our main concern is that some rogue elements may take advantage of such an event and may use it as a "diversionary" event to draw attention away from their possible attempt to penetrate into the restricted areas by using alternative approaches into the area....while all attention is being focused on the Groom Lake Road event. (precaution will then be taken by Nellis AFB, which will no doubt request for extra deployment of Special Response Team (if there were such entity) along with the Dept. of Energy to cover such locations as north of Mercury as well as Southwest of the Paranagat Ranges, etc., etc.) 11) AS FAR AS PARANOIA IS CONCERNED: In all these years, there has not been ONE single incident of ANYONE being shot and killed by any of the security forces, that I am aware of. Sure, there have been some arrests of people who may have accidentally wandered slightly into the restricted zone but no one has ever been shot and killed so far. Even those who had reached the Guard Shack on Groom Lake Road in the past have always been simply detained at the Guard Shack to be escorted by Lincoln County Sheriff and taken to the County jail with a stiff fine. This does not mean that people should cross the boundary line. On the day of the event, certainly no one will dare go past the Warning Signs area. Going to the Guard Shack itself will be not be permitted and will be punishable by a stiff fine and incarceration at the County jail. Besides, on the day of the event, there will be armoured vehicles right at the boundary line on Groom Lake Road which will completely block off any entry past the Warning Signs area. But again, it all depends on the scale of the event, scale of the presence of the news media, coordination with the authorities if the event will simply be a "peaceful" political gathering, or something more "menacing". In any case, it will be an unprecedented "happening" there. The date will be June 6, 1998. - Ken MacGray ----------========= Virtual Village BBS =========---------- mayor@tiac.net - www.tiac.net/users/mayor Area 51 Images, Lore, News - www.tiac.net/users/mayor/a51
