In the article, Freeman said the "city of the dead" belonged to Los
Alomos National Laboratories Limited. I thought the old device assembly
facility in Area 27 belonged to Lawrence Livermore and the Los Alomos
device assembly facility was further north east on Tweezer road. Both
should be in the process of being decommisioned because of the new
facility that was built before the test ban.

FROM GLENN

Freeman was definitely passing through Area 27 because this was
the best way to get to Cane Springs, his first water source.

I have no detailed maps of Area 27. (I assume they exist and you
can FOIA for them.

A small map in the NTS draft EIS labels Area 27 as "Lawrence
Livermore/Los Alamos Critical Assembly Area."
