Date: Fri, 27 Jun 1997 08:37:32 -0700 From: [Withheld by Request] To: campbell@ufomind.com Subject: THE Coverup First of all, I'm going to ask you to withhold my name/email address if you choose to post this. DIRNSA is no doubt looking at the web, and I really don't want anything more to do with that office. I've been in the Special Intelligence (hereafter referred to as SI) world for my entire adult life (I'm 51). Consequently, I've been exposed to just about every long term endeavor of the intelligence community since 1966. Some of the operations I have personally been involved with wouldn't be accepted by a publisher if I submitted it as fiction. It would simply be viewed as too implausable to be believable. Let me really start by clarifying the concept of security clearances. There are three basic levels of clearances (vs "access"). These are, in ascending order, CONFIDENTIAL, SECRET, & TOP SECRET. Access is another matter. CRYPTO is an 'access', as is 'NATO ATOMIC', 'Q', and a plethora of others. The SI community is CRYPTO, and is extremely far flung and complex. And, VERY good at what it does. While security is remarkable within the 'compartmentalization' of the business, over time bits of information from each project do manage to float out into the general realm of knowledge available to the community members. That means that even with the best security measures that can be implemented, eventually your project loses it's total isolation. In the 31 years of my experience, I NEVER heard or read ANYTHING about the Air Force (or any other armed force or agency) possessing, much less testing, any extraterrestrial material. Believe me, I WOULD have heard of it in my particular field. I am firmly convinced that Groom Lake is nothing more than a test facility. I've been there, and the wierdest things I saw were some of the employees. While I hold these convictions firmly, I DO NOT discount the reports from reliable witnesses who see odd sights in the sky. I do believe that there are things in our atmosphere that cannot be discounted, but I doubt that they are of interstellar or interplanetary origin. The interdimensional theory is, as wild as it is, the one I lean toward. I hope this minor dissertation will be of some help to you. I really enjoy your updates, and look forward to all the speculation, etc., that they contain. You are to be commended for your efforts to inform. I hope that you are successful in your quest, though I doubt that some of your recipients would believe the truth when confronted with it. Hang in there!
